Northwestern Association weighs zoning plans near Sabillasville
The Northwestern Frederick County Civic Association met June 26 at Sabillasville Elementary School and discussed zoning plans by the Frederick County Planning and Zoning Commission. Members criticized rural residential zoning near Brown Quarry Road and planned to send letters to the Planning and Zoning office rather than act officially until July maps are revised. The group also voted to present a film and music recorder to the school and considered helping fund a baseball and softball field. Roads board member Raymond Hahn spoke on local road improvements including widening and resurfacing Harbaugh Valley Road with no dates announced. The executive committee began plans for participation in the 1976 Colorfest.
