New Motor Vehicle Laws Take Effect in Maryland
Maryland enacts several new motor vehicle measures effective July 1. The Bumper Bill requires crashworthy front and rear protection for cars built after 1973. New license tags may carry six characters for a 25 dollar annual fee. The MVA becomes central filer for vehicle liens in Glen Burnie. The bills cover uninsured motorist fault hearings, exhaust smoke control, chemical-test notices, shared state highway laws on private property, and allowed slow moving animal drawn vehicles with symbols in Worcester County.
