Local artist copies 1865 church mural into new wall art
A 133 year old mural hidden behind Apples United Church of Christs drop ceiling is being copied into a new mural above the church entrance by Judy Johnson. The original signed H F Debring 1865 was found last year and restored with wall changes from 1912. Johnson, an experienced muralist, works on scaffolding eight hours a day to recreate the artwork for parishioners to enjoy.
