Montgomery County residents may pay real estate taxes by monthly, quarterly, or semiannual certificates under a proposed ordinance. The county council voted for preparation of the ordinance, with a public hearing to follow. The plan could let taxpayers prepay large sums and gain value, per county finance director Alex K Hancock.
