Girl Killed Three Companions Are Hurt
An 18 year old Baltimore County girl died and three companions were injured when their convertible overturned on U S 50 six miles west of Salisbury. Charlotte Gauss of Arbutus died on arrival at Penins General Hospital. Bonita Mason of Glen Burnie and Gail Jackson were taken to the same hospital with multiple contusions and abrasions. all were aged 18 to 20. Police said the car veered out of control and left the roadway near Hebron between 8:30 and 9:00 a.m.

Short But Eventful Ride In a New Automobile
In Grasonville Maryland two boys aged 12 and 9 were briefly in a 1959 car driven by a Salisbury man. The vehicle fled on U.S. 50, the motel owner pursued and halted it. A 12 year old fled toward a field before a warning shot by Trooper Robert Williams stopped him. The younger boy suffered a head injury and was taken to Easton Memorial Hospital for X rays. The older boy had a knife he tossed to the ground when approached. Both lads were from Grasonville.

Three teenage reformatory inmates Larry Rector Roger Morse and Patrick Jarrell were charged with kidnapping and grand larceny after kidnapping 18 year old Sandra Lynne McKeen during a Tuesday 80 mile ride from Prunidxytoun near Grafton. They were captured within five hours near New Martinsville by Sheriff Shannon Westerman and deputies. Miss McKeen was unharmed and preliminary hearings were set before Magistrate W C Lawson.
