Hypochondria as a year round hobby in adulthood
Boyle notes a humorous push to take up hypochondria as an adult hobby aided by modern medicines. The piece mocks the idea, prompting readers with quirky quotes, satire on aging health obsessions, and a sly look at how marketed cures entice the middle aged. It closes with a brief obituary note for Richard D. Miller, 91, former Universal Consolidated Oil official and Lincoln retailer pioneer.
