Plan To Increase Park Areas In Maryland Next Year
Maryland officials aim to add 6 500 acres of park land in 1961 62 as part of a 2 75 million capital improvements program to broaden the park system from 17 000 to 43 000 acres. Gunpowder Falls State Park is the leading project in the Baltimore Washington corridor and will span 11 600 acres. The plan funds land purchases plus title work and appraisals with other costs.
