Officials in Maryland Pennsylvania and Virginia endorse hunting to cut deer human encounters. Justice Department lawyers received the proposal from three farms offering space for the transplanted birds, as a temporary appeal to the judge's restraining order against USDA plans to kill 1,300 geese without a permit.
