Teachers link lessons with parks at Harper's Ferry
One hundred twenty teachers will attend a National Geographic backed Partners program at Harper's Ferry National Historic Park to design curricula tied to local school districts. Activities include rock origin analysis, Black history and John Brown’s raid, and an archeological excavation. The project, funded by the National Park Service Foundation, earned an Intergovernmental Public Service Excellence award from VP Al Gore.
