Frederick's Fourth a real blast at Baker Park
Frederick's Fourth of July celebration drew crowds to Baker Park with a chili cookoff, pie eating contest, the Great Frederick Duck Race, a Three Dog Night concert, and a fireworks finale. Debates on weather were bright, cooler breezes kept humidity low, and volunteers earned praise from city officials. Terry Cook won first in chili, cinnamon-laced Cincinnati-style, with Elizabeth Anders placing second and winning the people's choice award.
