Dan Rowan and Dick Martin Named Dean Martin Replacements
Veteran comedy writers Dan Rowan and Dick Martin, after 14 years on the fringes, become Dean Martin's summer substitutes for three months. Their shift to television stardom follows two guest spots on the Dean Martin show and a signed contract for future projects. Both men differ in style and life choices. Rowan is a family man seeking steady rerun income, while Martin favors a variety show with greater creative freedom.
