Baker Given Nine Years
A judge sentenced Baker to nine years after a fatal shooting in which Gaskins, a Virginia driver, was killed near the Baker home in Sunyside. Testimony described a confrontation over moving a car, with Baker claiming self defense as he fired after Gaskins allegedly reached for a possible weapon. The defense noted no gun was found on Gaskins.
