Johns Hopkins to lead anti insanity crusade in schools
Donation funds a new ward at Johns Hopkins and a broad program to diagnose and prevent insanity through school based clinics. Free early treatment, parent education, and lectures will expand into widespread public health efforts nationwide. The plan targets incipient cases and uses schools as central outreach and treatment hubs.

Water power urged as coal substitute by Dr Stelmetta
Dr Charles Stelmetta warned that hard coal may soon be unavailable and soft coal scarce. He urged tapping water power to generate electricity, noting vast untapped hydro resources and the need to heat via power rather than wood. He cited current electricity lines and predicted future factory curtailments to conserve heat. Reports of accidents follow, including a New York incident injuring Charle Cleveland and a sheriff deputy shooting near Eddy Stone.
