Court upholds zoning change near New Market
The Maryland Court of Special Appeals affirmed Frederick County Commissioners March 1988 rezoning of 22 acres east of New Market from agricultural to limited industrial. The decision follows a challenge by Richard Bucker and Edgar Rossig Jr. The panel noted the change is debatable and cannot override the county’s planning, while preserving safeguards like sewer access and architectural controls for nearby historic downtown.
