Byron to head Interior subcommittee in House
Rep Beverly B Byron of Maryland is slated to chair the General Oversight and Investigations Subcommittee on the House Interior and Insular Affairs Committee. The move follows her rise in seniority among Democrats on the panel. She cites ties to western Maryland and potential probes of nature trails in the region. Byron also announced two out of town appearances, including a White Sulphur Springs Issues Conference and the christening of the Anuetam, the Navy’s newest cruiser. The ship will undergo tests before commissioning in June at Dundalk and later join the Pacific fleet.
