Maryland Racing Commission approves fourth exacta pool
The Maryland Racing Commission authorized an experimental fourth exacta pool at all state tracks starting Monday at Pimlico. Exactas will be offered in races three five seven and nine as Bowie Race Course seeks higher parking and seating prices to fund upkeep and snow removal. Pimlico reports a free standing clubhouse would be costly and not feasible, while Timonium may shift dates. Hagerstown Race Track owner Snaveley faces conditions before license renewal including a new oddsboard and electric timer.
