Area rivers eased below flood levels Monday morning as the Potomac crested at 16.0 feet Sunday night. Forecasters noted the watershed drainage raised water in streams, not Saturday’s Frederick County rain. About 4 am Sunday Md 26 near Israel's Creek at Ceresville reopened after closures.
