A frame warehouse of George W. Mc Comas and Co. Inc. at Monrovia was destroyed in a fire believed caused by a frozen lead-in wire. The 70 by 30 foot building housed a feed mill and feed supplies. about $3,500 in losses were covered by insurance. Frederick and Mt Airy fire crews, hindered by frozen water pumps and late discovery, fought the blaze but could not save adjacent structures. Firemen cut through Bush creek ice to lay hoses but had limited water and the blaze spread after flames appeared beneath the metal roof. Three company cars were moved by residents. no injuries beyond the cold were reported.
