Tax help offered for low income seniors through NARFE VITA program
Volunteers trained by IRS and Maryland assist elderly and disadvantaged with federal and state tax forms at multiple sites in Frederick County. Eligibility caps income at 35000 with only wage interest dividends and capital gains. Complex forms and self employment not covered. Earned Income Credit possible for qualifying dependents under 19, with credit reducing tax owed. Appointments required, bring W-2 and 1099 forms for 1991 and 1990 return.
