Community Chest to Hold Annual Meeting and Award Contests
The Community Chest of Frederick County will hold its annual membership meeting Friday at 3 PM in the Cheat offices. Robert L. Smith says the meeting will elect a board of directors, receive agency reports, and conduct other business. Separate contests offer $100 prizes for journalistic ideas and a $50 prize for best student activity article. Debbie Quinn named 1959 Valentine Girl for the Heart Fund campaign. James Haba was re elected chief Ralph Brashear named first assistant and Zimmerman assistant chief. Thomas Maker appointed Captain to the Fire Company. Refreshments followed served by the Ladies Auxiliary.
