The plan designates feeder elementary and middle schools to the new high school, which will have 1,200 seats and ease overcrowding at Frederick and Linganore high schools. An alternative adding part of Ballenger Creek may be adopted, moving Elmer Derr Road residents from Frederick High to Urbana.
