The Maryland Horse Rescue Center is nursing the three survivors at a Potomac farm while seeking new homes. The owner could not be identified. caretaker Bernadette Harrison declined to name the owner and said vendors pocketed her $200 hay payment. Authorities seized the animals after a letter from the stable’s owner denied anyone was authorized to keep them. No charges were filed.
