Mechanic Kill ed As Jack Slips In Bus Accident
Frederick bus mechanic Gene Edward Summers, 404 Pearl Street, was killed Monday when a jack slipped under the front axle of a bus at Gladhill's Tractor Mart on East Patrick Street. He was pronounced dead about 2 PM from a crushed chest, after colleagues freed him. Summers, a four year Air Force veteran, worked with L&L Bus Lines and was both mechanic and driver.
