Bherman sees wife die of cold at lake
Tort Wing Wisconsin January 24. Alfred Peterson a Sherman of Knife River Minnesota died Sunday after his wife perished in an open row boat on Lake Superior. The storm and minus forty degree cold left the boat icebound, Peterson crawled across ice to shore leaving his wife's body in the craft. He reached land after 27 hours and later tried to free the boat but failed.
