UCLA girl remains in critical condition after heart surgery
Laura Sherald, a four year old from Emmitsburg, is in critical condition at UCLA Medical Center after a Jan heart attack. She had reconstructive heart surgery to close a missing ventricular wall and had been unconscious since. Doctors revived her heart and she is on life support while doctors test brain function and plan neurological evaluation.
