Farmers Call for State Convention and Tax Reform
A large crowd gathered at the county court room for a meeting of the Frederick Farmers Association to back calls for state and county reform. Speakers attacked lavish public spending, urged nonpartisan voting for competent officials, and proposed a three year halt on new road programs while preserving already started highways. They also urged taxing churches and a rewritten county accounting system to curb waste.
