Tex Rickard Held in $1000 Bail on Assault Charge
New York January 21 Associated Press Tex Rickard was arrested on a criminal assault charge filed by the Children’s Society on a 15 year old girl’s complaint Two other girls were named as witnesses A bench warrant had been issued Rickard surrendered with counsel and was held on $1000 bail for examination June 25 He allegedly assaulted three girls last summer at his Madison Square Garden pool and later took two to an apartment offering wine. The children were detained on incorrigibility charges and examined by a physician before DA questioned them.
