Middletown annexation to go before commissioners
Frederick County Planning Commission granted a waiver allowing Middletown to annex more than 144 acres along alternate US 40 to be developed by A C Jet Partnership. The project, seeking 186 lots at about 20 homes per year, awaits county commissioners approval with stipulations: five year building permit hold, designate a site for a public building or school, and meet APFO standards before any construction. Commissioner White warned the five year hold is needed to preserve county say over future use.
