Seedlings Available For Reforestation in Frederick County
The Department of Forests and Parks invites requests for tree seed lings for conservation on rural land in Frederick County. Orders start now through February 26, with a minimum of 250 trees. Main species include White Pine Scotch Pine Norway Spruce and White Spruce, with Black Walnut and Tulip Poplar hardwoods. Wildlife shrubs accompany pine plantings. Seedlings target idle or nonproductive land to restore production and reduce soil erosion while enhancing wildlife recreation and scenery.
