Unemployment Benefits Extend to Federal Workers in Maryland
Maryland federal workers who lose jobs are now eligible for unemployment compensation at the same state rate. Benefits go to a maximum of 330 weekly for 26 weeks. Stephen Cromwell said federal workers in Maryland fall under state rules, with about 47 000 federal employees in the state.
