Latin American visitors to tour Frederick farms
Six Latin American specialists in agriculture will visit Frederick county Thursday evening and tour local farms Friday with community AAA committeemen. The group includes Jorge Ahurada of Chile, Juan B. Pelayo of Argentina, Roberto Grana Carballo of Uruguay, Roberto Arellano Bonita of Honduras, Jorge Alcazar Ampuero of Bolivia, and Hector J. Santaella Guerra of Venezuela. They will discuss 1943 war production goals with farmers and be paired with local committeemen for farm visits. David Derr, a former county resident now with the U S Department of Agriculture, will accompany them. The Bolivian member is in the U S for study on a new Agricultural Economics Bureau.
