United Way speaker at Grange event highlights donations
Grangers heard Dale Clabaugh describe the United Way and its single paid director, with volunteers producing a slide program on agency work. Raymond Crum received the 1980 pledge from the Grange and the group donated to Christmas Seals and Walkersville churches. A Christmas dinner followed with music, poems, and Bible gifts to newly married couples, Santa, and a prayer to close. SUPPLY notes share that about one fourth of U.S. farms produce nearly 80 percent of food and fiber in the nation.
