Cub Scout Pack 269 held its December meeting at Green Valley Elementary School. Despite busy schedules and helping their fathers with Christmas trees at the Drag Strip, the scouts showcased diverse culture themes, earned badges, and welcomed Santa Claus with carol singing.

Free Tax Aide helps elderly in Montgomery County
Montgomery County sponsors a free Tax Aide program through the Division of Elder Affairs to assist residents over 60 with federal and state tax forms. Starting Feb 4, 100 plus trained volunteers operate weekdays 9 am to 3 pm at 18 locations, with homebound visits by special arrangement. Appointments begin Jan 21 by calling 55705. The effort is in partnership with AARP and the National Retired Teachers Association.
