Parents Seek Removal of Faulty Frederick County Bus
A rear wheel anchor bolt on Frederick County School Bus No. 81 sheared off this morning while five students rode aboard. The bus, due for retirement in June, had brake failures earlier in 1970 and a full brake system replacement followed. Parents are pressuring the Board of Education to retire the bus amid safety concerns while operations plan to petition the board Monday for action.
