Mystery trash origin traced to Damascus contractor
Officials from three federal agencies including the Justice Department traced original government documents found dumped in a Mount Airy cornfield to Wayne E. Bowman Construction of Damascus. A Bowman paint can with the surname on the lid tied the pile to the contractor hired to haul away government trash. Farran and Jack Bennings found the evidence at the Washington Judiciary Center renovations where the contractor worked. Bowman’s company has not responded to requests for comment.
