Hanover Two High Schools and a Frugal Fund
A report recounts Hanover operating two high schools and a community fund started in 1959 to aid literacy with $74.50 raised, mainly from Virginia plus Nebraska Georgia Illinois. The fund funded a Richmonder’s fine for a hood blocking car, aided Ivan Rudnytsky’s legal fees in 1965 after a bus radio dispute, and noted the grand jury did not indict. The piece closes with a note on the tomato’s American history and nightshade family.

The delta remains the Vietnamese led fight area with American advisers and helicopter supported operations but no plan to base ground troops there. The war in the delta persists with heavy clashes, riverine battles, and shifting intensity between corps zones.
