Train crash kills one on Pere Marquette tracks near state line
A Baltimore and Ohio passenger train rear-ended a freight train one mile north of the Ohio Michigan line. The crash at 50 mph tore through the caboose and three cars. Freight crewman Chas Fredericks died. Hospitalized: Amelia Marr of Highland Park Washington, Walter Eliott of Saginaw with serious injuries, Charles Brown of Saginaw, and an unidentified engineer in critical condition.
