Bank Robber Flies With Two Bags Of Cash On Bike

A white man 18 to 25, 5 ft 10 in to 6 ft, 150 to 170 pounds wearing a blue hooded jacket robbed Citizens Bank in Clarksburg about 9:15 am. He escaped on a 20 inch red and black mountain bike with two bags of money toward I-270. Police used helicopter and dogs but found nothing. Composite issued. no injuries reported.

Policeman's son gets five years for April school shooting

Warren Graham III, son of a Prince George's County officer, was sentenced to five years in prison with five years probation for wounding Largo High School teacher Barrington Miles with his father's service weapon. He previously faced 20 years. 15 were suspended. The incident led to enhanced school security and metal detectors across Prince George's secondary schools. Miles, 47, did not attend the sentencing.

Logs spill after truck overturns on Md 355 near U S 15

A log truck veered off the right side of U S 15 and overturned on its side on Md 355 near U S 15 Thursday night. The driver George Ayres, 37, of Dillwyn Virginia, was hospitalized for minor injuries and cited for driving with a suspended license and speeding for conditions.

Homeless Man Dies After 911 Calls In Baltimore

In south Baltimore Richard Wagner a 41 year old homeless man died on a sidewalk after a sequence of 911 calls for help. Police say Wagner refused assistance and was not observed to be ill while medics and officers responded multiple times. Authorities review the case and defend the responding officer.

Ex-cop seeks quick jail term finish in Maryland

Gregory Waverstreet, 31, a former Anne Arundel County police officer found guilty of extortion, agrees to a 90 day jail term under a work release plan that reduces his sentence for each day worked. He will complete the six month house arrest and continues five years of probation, which may be served out of state. He can leave jail five days a week to run a family landscaping business. time served under house arrest will count toward the total.
