Frederick man dies as car hits parked tractor-trailer
A Frederick man, Michael Fishman, 37, died after his 1990 Toyota Camry crashed into the rear of a parked tractor-trailer on Amber Drive near Amber Meadows Park. Paula Sue Howsare, 33, was seriously injured and transported to Frederick Memorial Hospital in stable condition. Police said Fishman, not speeding, drifted onto the right shoulder and failed to slow before striking the flatbed. he was wearing a shoulder belt but not the lap belt. The incident occurred at 7:46 p.m. and the flatbed was clearly marked with reflectors and orange flags.
