Thurmont council eyes cuts to spending plan
Thurmont officials consider trimming the budget after a town electric company overcharged Ryan Homes $9,403.46 over 52 months. Mayor James Black said repayment will occur this fiscal year, with monthly payments. A system of internal checks will prevent repeats. The council also denied Doubletree Enterprises’ request to reduce West Moser Road from 32 to 22 feet for a senior complex citing future traffic and safety needs.
