At Verona a Free Methodists meeting in Kingston Ontario delegates watched a man claim he could fly and attempt a demonstration. He hit a coal oil lamp with his head and the lamp toppled spilling oil, catching fire. Ten people were present and eight were burned or injured in the blaze and stampede.
