Couple Charged In Grove Liquor Store Heist
Frederick police arrested and charged Mr. and Mrs. Preston Byrd and Lewis Eugene Hopkins in a Grove Liquor Store break in. Byrd couple released on bond after items including a shotgun and cigarettes were found in their apartment. Two 17 year old youths were also arrested and turned over to juvenile authorities. A separate theft involved a boxed Philco television from Shipley's Furniture Store. A two truck accident in Thurmont caused $1400 in damages and a trial date was set for William Leisner on negligent driving. Michael Bradley Luhn was arrested for failing to carry registration with a Feb 1 District Court date.
