The visit follows wells tests showing 77 percent contamination and a push for sewerage to correct water issues. A public hearing on the sanitary district is set for January 21 at 10 30 a m.

Four More Accidents In City Reported
A sequence of four city traffic accidents was reported for the first week of the year. At 2 37 a m on Market and Sixth streets Robert Fauble 36 of Middle Alley ran a red light and hit Charles Diggs 25 also of Middle Alley injuring neither party severely. damages were 100 and 35 dollars respectively. Fauble faced traffic device charges. Later at Grant Place Roger Cann 61 of Watkins Acres hit Allen Eaves 60 of RFD 5 Frederick damaging 175 and 250 dollars. no charges were filed. At 440 pm on Monroe and Highland Sybil Austin 56 of Braddock Heights left onto Monroe and Candace Roth 23 of Union Bridge swerved to avoid and collided. Austin 200 dollar damage, Roth 150. Austin charged with failing to yield right of way.

January Fund Drive Opens for March of Dimes in Local Area
The annual January fund drive for the March of Dimes has opened with ham and turkey shoots at Point of Rocks and a variety of events planned. Last Sunday’s benefit netted $131.37, with a second shoot slated for Sunday at 1 p.m. on school grounds. M. R. Kerrigan chairs the Point of Rocks drive with a committee including L. E. Hine and Joseph T. Kerrigan among others. Funds support polio vaccine timing, birth defect research, and arthritis aid. The Mother's March, led by Stanley Y. Bennett, unfolds January 30 with over 400 mothers expected. city, county, and area chairmen have been named and 27 collection areas mapped. Public events also include street collections and a fashion show at the Francis Scott Key Hotel, plus Boy Scout container collections and a tea prior to the march.
