Maryland pages run coffee fetch for state legislature
In Annapolis the 1984 legislative page program relies on high school seniors from across Maryland. About 120 pages with 36 alternates will serve two one week tours each, earning room and board in Annapolis and a $20 daily allowance. Pages wear gold blazers, work from 9 am to late sessions, fetch coffee, place bills, and study government under coordinator Cornell Connelly with Frederick County contributing three pages.
