Washington coach and GM George Allen, once fired, remains a key architect of the Redskins' Super Bowl run. With 29 free agents and only three first round picks, Allen praised Joe Gibbs and Mark May, Art Monk, and Darrell Green, noting seven Allen-era players still core. Washington hosts San Francisco in the NFC title game at RFK, aiming for another Super Bowl bid. Allen hailed Gibbs and projected a home-field edge, citing RFK success and playoff history.
