Ask School Board To Alter Plans
The New Market Lions Club urged the Frederick County Board of Education to change a proposed school site on Old Annapolis Road citing health concerns. They argued the land is unfit for sanitation, could pollute Linganore Creek and Frederick water supplies, and would be costly to taxpayers. They urged prior approval by county and state health departments.
