Hearing set for probate of Wilbert A. Garrison will

The Orphans Court schedules a hearing for January 14 at 2 p.m. to probate the will of Wilbert A. Garrison who died October 1 near Thurmont. The process waits on Elmer Trust Co. of Elmer, New Jersey to decide if it will accept joint executor duties with Calvin S. Lohr. The bank claims Garrison was a New Jersey resident and that the will should be probated there, while Lohr believed Thurmont residency sufficed. The registrar notes potential estoppel due to bank inaction and pending asset valuation.
