Behind President's Plan To Curb Monopolies Six-Point Program

Washington, Jan 6 The secret New Deal plan to curb monopolies outlines six steps including rewriting anti trust laws to curb Supreme Court denials, revising FTC statute to bind court respect, disqualifying identical bids on government work, adjusting taxes to favor small firms while taxing large corporations, heavy taxation on oversized firms, and requiring interstate businesses to have multiple competitors. The plan, backed by Jackson Ickes and others, faces political and legal hurdles and may not be enacted or more effective than prior statutes.
