Americans Triumph In Bermnant Bowl Semifinal Duel

In the second Bermnant Bowl semifinal USA-2 led by Hose Meltzer Kyle Larsen Chip Martel Lew Slansby and Alan Sontag Peter Weichsel defeated Poland in a tense session. Stinsky opened with diamonds and Flannery amassed 115 points with Tour Spades and five hearts. Mirkel invited game by jumping to three hearts, overbid, yet Sontag with distribution bid and ruffed, then played spades. Sontag later cashed an overtrick for plus 620 and 11 international match points as A-2 advanced to the final.
