Bassetts Top Ten Rounder Amid Harness Debate
Percy Bassett headlines a ten rounder in Philadelphia against Ted Davis of Hartford following a December bout in New York where West died after being knocked down. The show features Louis and Robinson as referees, Savold in exhibition, Pep coaching Davis, and advances estimate 7000 spectators. The death prompts a six ounce head harness rule, sparking debate on action versus protection.
